Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed design/analysis per project specifications, codes, and standards.
· Manage time effectively to meet deadlines, budgets, and deliver cost-efficient designs.
· Prepare accurate design calculations, reports, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance.
· Address scope changes, raise notifications, and support variation orders with documentation.
· Interface with all disciplines, departments, and teams to ensure clash-free designs and deliverables.
· Provide technical direction, review design reports, and assist procurement with requisitions and vendor reviews.
· Support fabrication by addressing queries and identifying/rectifying defects.
· Conduct design verification, inter-discipline checks (IDC), and ensure functional integrity.
· Attend project meetings, offshore surveys, and coordinate with stakeholders to meet objectives.
· Supervise engineers, ensure quality compliance, and keep the Lead Engineer updated on progress.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s Degree is preferred)
· Quality-oriented and schedule-conscious
· Serves as a technical reference and/or source of reliable information for the discipline
· Leadership skills and willingness to coordinate some discipline tasks
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
· 8-15 years of experience in oil and gas with major contractors or consultants predominately performing detailed design of offshore facilities
· Preferably Registered Professional or Chartered Engineer or member of professional engineering society
· Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of a professional engineering society
· Good English in writing/speaking (B2 Level minimum)
